Syria ex-rebel military chief says to dissolve armed wing

The military chief of Syria’s victorious Islamist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham said on Tuesday the group would be “the first” to dissolve its armed wing and integrate into the armed forces. Earlier, Syrian rebel leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa, better known by his nom de guerre Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, called for the lifting of international sanctions in an exclusive interview Monday with a group of foreign journalists that included FRANCE 24’s Wassim Nasr.
