More sin bin drama in NZ as Knights’ attacking troubles continue in loss to Warriors

The Knights’ struggles in attack have continued, only scoring two tries in a 26-12 loss to the Warriors in Christchurch.
The Warriors weren’t convincing by any means, but they were able to defend well and take advantage of some key moments en route to their fifth win of the season.
As of the start of Friday night’s final game between Melbourne and Souths, the Warriors were sitting pretty in second on the NRL ladder.

MATCH CENTRE: New Zealand Warriors vs. Newcastle Knights live scores, teams
In a game that won’t go down in the history books, the Knights committed 15 errors in the Anzac Day clash, more than double what their opponents did.
The Knights took 50 minutes to score their first try as their sputtering attack continued to struggle. They’ve now scored just seven tries in their past five games.
The Warriors more or less had the game wrapped up at half time when they led 16-0 against a hapless attack.
When James Schiller trimmed the margin to ten, there was life for the Knights, but the Warriors closed the door on any comeback with the next two tries.
Earlier, there was sin bin drama in New Zealand with a Warriors player given ten minutes in the first 90 seconds.
Marata Niukore was binned for a high shot on Bradman Best. A few minutes later, it was 12 on 12 when Knights prop Leo Thompson was also given his marching orders for a high shot.
The Thompson incident marks the seventh sin bin for a high shot this weekend and we’re barely into the third game of Round 8.
