Good morning, and welcome to RedState’s “Morning Minute” — a brief glimpse at which stories are trending at the moment and a look ahead at what the day may bring. Consider this your one-stop shop for news to kickstart your day.

TOP O’ THE MORNIN’

MUST SEE: Elon Drops Powerful Video of Reagan That is True Now More Than Ever

You finally have Trump, Musk, and Ramaswamy with the force and the will. Now, they need to harness that same common sense and make it happen, despite the people who will try to stand in their way.

NEW: Photos of Hunter and Joe Biden Meeting With Chinese Officials Emerge, Massive Cover-Up Exposed

While legal accountability may be off the table, exposing the rank corruption and criminal activity of the Biden family is an important endeavor. The American people deserve the truth, and the Democratic Party needs to pay a high political price for this.

Back to the Future for the GOP – A Return to the Whig Rallies

Of course, there is one other big difference between the Trump rallies and the Whig rallies – no alcohol is/was served at the Trump rallies. I will leave it to the readers to tell me whether that is a positive or a negative.

WHAT’S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill…

As maddening as our Congress critters can often be, here’s hoping they’re all enjoying holidays with loved ones…and that the ones intent on helping America grow strong and prosperous are taking the time to refresh so they can hit the ground running come January.

He’s only a member of Congress for roughly nine more days, but here’s a cute clip of Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) making biscuits with his daughter:

White House What’s Up

The only thing on President Joe Biden’s schedule Wednesday is receiving his Daily Brief. No doubt, he and First Lady Jill are spending the day with family. They’re also preparing to jet off to St. Croix on Thursday. (More on that in tomorrow’s Morning Minute.)

Full Court Press…

It’s a court holiday, of course, so there’s not much court activity to report. We can expect there to be a bit of a lull between now and the new year, but RedState will, of course, keep you up to date on any court/legal developments of note as we wind down 2024.

MORNING MUSING

Wishing all of our readers the merriest of Christmases this morning. And Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate it. (And to those who celebrate neither, a happy and blessed holiday.) I was just lamenting to the handsome beau how discombobulated I feel this year — I don’t even have presents wrapped yet. (See, dear readers? I’m so dedicated to y’all that I put getting this column up ahead of wrapping!) But to be fair, I’m pretty much always discombobulated. Maybe I’ll try to figure out how to work some added serenity into my New Year’s resolutions, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself. Today is Christmas and the greatest reason to celebrate, no matter how together one has it. Many blessings to you all!
