Kieran Culkin has revealed the one part of dad duty that he doesn’t love.

In a conversation with Colman Domingo as apart of Variety‘s ‘Actors on Actors’ series published on Wednesday, Dec. 18, the Succession star, 42, revealed that he loves almost everything about being a dad to his daughter Kinsey, 5, and son Wilder, 3, whom he shares with wife Jazz Charton, 35. There is one task, however, that stands out as his least favorite.

“What do you like about being a father?” Domingo asked, to which Culkin joked, “Absolutely everything except dinner time.”

Culkin urged, “I love everything else.”

“It feels like nothing else matters,” he shared, describing what fatherhood is like for him. “I’m a dad now, and my only role in life is that. That’s real life. All this is lovely, but I’m just trying to get home.”

Earlier this month, the actor admitted that he hasn’t allowed his two children to watch Home Alone, the iconic Christmas movie starring himself and his brother Macaulay Culkin.

“There’s still some scary parts,” the dad of two explained. “For the 3-year-old, there’s the tarantula [and] there’s the guy at the end who said, ‘I’m gonna bite off all your fingers.’ That’s scary for a 3-year-old.”

Culkin then shared that 2024 might just be the year for Kinsey and Wilder to finally get in on the film’s holiday fun.

“We think they might be ready for Home Alone this year,” he said. “If not, next year.”
