The Devils currently sit fifth in the Eastern Conference, but they’re looking to bounce back after a tough 2-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators on Sunday. Despite the setback, New Jersey has been a force at home this season, and they’ll aim to protect their ice against a surging Boston squad.

Look out for captain Nico Hischier, who’s been leading by example all season. Jack Hughes, a consistent offensive weapon, will also be a key factor if the Devils want to put Boston on their heels.

Meanwhile, the Bruins, ranked ninth in the conference, are heating up at the right time. They’re coming off a convincing 6-3 win over the San Jose Sharks on January 20, where their offense lit up the scoreboard. Boston’s push to climb into playoff position makes this game crucial.

David Pastrnak has been a one-man wrecking crew, tallying goals at a blistering pace. Linus Ullmark, if he gets the start in the net, will need to bring his A-game to slow down New Jersey’s attack.
